The winter residency closes with a collective and unifying moment, a ritual that marks the gradual return of daylight and in which La Généreuse farm community is invited to participate. Douglas and Maude invite those they meet regularly on the farm’s trails to join them in the greenhouse to share the fruits of their reflections and creative fragments that have taken shape to date. The artists have set up stations where textures, colors, bits of wax and watercolors accumulate and mingle. The moment of encounter, rich in conversation, is followed by a simple ceremony, during which the artists invite us to light mullein torches and place them in the middle of the orchard, still asleep, at nightfall.
