Costume ideas 

I’m thinking about making myself or the gallery visitor into an animal or dressing like one.  This could be thought of as a “speculative fabulation” to use Donna Harraway’s term. Quite obviously I am a Johnny-come-lately to this idea of crossing over between the animal and human – if this can even be suggested as a crossover. Anyways people have been making this crossover for millennia – here I am joining a long tradition.  

Artist and designer Pascale Déry and I will be meeting about how to proceed in the next two months.  My thoughts are to use found/ recycled materials –  A bee costume might include tin cans, bits of recycled bottles and black take-away containers.
