The Foreman Art Gallery’s March Break Art Camp returns to an in-person format this year, from February 28th to March 4th.
Inspired by the exhibition Les yeux dans l’eau, campers will explore daily themes regarding human and non-human relationships formed in proximity with water. While trying their hand at different art forms, we will learn about the work of traditional and contemporary artists. From painting to paper marbling, you will explore water through all its facets.
Located at Bishop’s University, our March Break Art Camp offers an inspirational setting with the opportunity to work in a real artist’s studio, as well as access to the lush campus grounds!
The camp will run during the Spring Break of 2022, from February 28 to March 4th.
The camp is scheduled Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm
Pre- and after- camp care is provided and included in the fee. It runs form 8 to 9 am and from 4 to 5 pm.

February 28 : Freshwater Mariner
Join us for a fun-filled, creative water themed week! On our very first day, we will learn about the water that surrounds us, here, in the Eastern Townships. Today, you will be creating a suitcase portfolio to carry all your artwork and making your very own aquarium!
March 1st : Les yeux dans l'eau
Today is world compliment day! Let’s make new friends by complimenting someone through the creation of a rainbow! After a guided tour of the exhibition Les yeux dans l’eau, you’ll be creating an artwork inspired by the artists exposed in the Foreman Art gallery.
March 2 : Taking the Plunge
Grab your lab coats and your goggles and get ready to become scientists for a day! After studying the most mysterious water creatures , we will do a scientific experience and paint an underwater scene.
March 3 : Bottle at Sea
Today we will concentrate on the advantages waterways have on transportations. You will create your very own marble paper and end the day by putting a message in a bottle and sending it off in the river.
March 4 : Like a Fish in Water
The week will end with a community themed project. After studying the presence of water, let’s learn how to recycle and reuse to create art! We will finish March Break Art Camp by creating a community art book.
