Frankie (Francine <\/span>Ethier<\/span>) is currently pursuing her bachelor\u2019s degree in Fine Arts with honours at Bishop\u2019s University. She <\/span>h<\/span>as received scholarships<\/span> from O.H. De Sevigne Scholarship in the Creative and Performing Arts for excellence and was selected as a member of Bishop\u2019s Honours Society <\/span>for <\/span>2019\u20132020. <\/span><\/p>\n

Her body of work consists of 2D and 3D works in various materials and have been selected for group exhibitions in <\/span>the following <\/span>galleries<\/span>:<\/span> Art Mur in Montreal in summer 2020<\/span>;<\/span> Le <\/span>Tremplin<\/span> in <\/span>Lennoxville<\/span>; <\/span>Ye Olde Blacksmith in Stanstead Quebec in 2019<\/span>; and <\/span>mp<\/span> tr\u00e9sart<\/span> Gallery in<\/span> South-Durham<\/span>, Quebec in 2018. She has <\/span>also <\/span>participated in many exhibitions in the Montreal region. Through her sculptures and fiber art, she tells<\/span> stor<\/span>ies<\/span> of entanglement between body and mind.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lily <\/span><\/span>Rousseau is a fourth year Fine Arts Major and Art History Honors student at BU. <\/span><\/span>Having lived in <\/span><\/span>France<\/span><\/span> and the United States<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span> she has had to<\/span><\/span> adapt to different cultures<\/span><\/span> and face new challenges, <\/span><\/span>which <\/span><\/span>she explores <\/span><\/span>in some of <\/span><\/span>her<\/span><\/span> work.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Through<\/span><\/span> her<\/span><\/span> studies<\/span><\/span> in History<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span> she is <\/span><\/span>often influenced by traditional <\/span><\/span>painting <\/span><\/span>techniques and <\/span><\/span>traditional <\/span><\/span>subject matter. <\/span><\/span>She intends to pursue<\/span><\/span> a certificate in art rest<\/span><\/span>o<\/span><\/span>ration and a master\u2019s in <\/span><\/span>A<\/span><\/span>rt <\/span><\/span>H<\/span><\/span>istory<\/span><\/span> in Italy next year<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Originally from Cornwall, Ontario, Allister Aitken came to Bishop\u2019s with a passion to pursue a double bachelor’s in Secondary Education and Fine Arts along with a minor in teaching French as a second language. <\/span><\/p>\n

Although employing several mediums during his studies, he particularly enjoys using acrylic and watercolour paints and uses landscapes or popular culture as main sources of inspiration for his works. Sometimes you see a person that stands out from everyone else<\/span> for some reason<\/span>. They\u2019re so striking that you\u2019re compelled to recreate them, at least Chantal Lafond is.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Inspired by<\/span> people in her<\/span>\u00a0life and by her\u00a0<\/span>favorite<\/span> TV characters<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0Chantal creates\u00a0<\/span>figurative art<\/span> that investigate<\/span>s<\/span> beauty<\/span> and individuality<\/span>.<\/span> Recently, she has been focusing on women in particular, and how they\u2019re perceived by society. Her<\/span>\u00a0favorite medium<\/span>s<\/span> to work <\/span>with <\/span>are <\/span>painting and drawing, <\/span>although <\/span>lately she has been investigating embroidery and textile <\/span>art<\/span>, which are often seen as a \u201cwom<\/span>e<\/span>n\u2019s craft\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

YvY (Steve Breton), is a multidisciplinary artist, studying Fine Arts with a studio concentration at Bishops University. He lives and creates in Sherbrooke, Qu\u00e9bec Canada. Nicholas<\/span>\u202f\u00a0<\/span>Gibbs<\/span> is <\/span>currently a Fourth Year Bishop’s University Student in the Fine Arts and Education Program, <\/span>m<\/span>inor<\/span>ing<\/span> in Art History. <\/span>An adventurous person, Nicolas enjoys <\/span>traveling<\/span> to places like<\/span> Maine, USA, across the Leeds and <\/span>the <\/span>Grenville area<\/span>. <\/span>He takes pictures wherever he travels.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As an artist, <\/span>he <\/span>practices <\/span>drawing, sculpting, and painting <\/span>using <\/span>his<\/span> personal<\/span> photographs<\/span> as a reference<\/span>. <\/span>His favorite subjects are<\/span> people<\/span> and natural <\/span>landscapes<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span> He looks<\/span> forward to taking part in the 2021 Foreman Art Gallery Art Show. Upon graduation, <\/span>He <\/span>plan<\/span>s<\/span> on becoming an art teacher, <\/span>where he intends to share his <\/span>passion <\/span>fo<\/span>r<\/span> art, <\/span>the <\/span>creative process and <\/span>how to <\/span>properly succeed in the topic of art.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
