Lors d\u2019une r\u00e9sidence\u00a0 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e au printemps 2015 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole secondaire Sherbrookoise r\u00e9gionale Alexander Galt, les artistes Maya Ersan et Jaimie Robson ont partag\u00e9 leur processus cr\u00e9atif ainsi que les aspects techniques de leur pratique artistique avec des \u00e9l\u00e8ves de cinqui\u00e8me secondaire. L\u2019objectif \u00e9tait double\u00a0: inviter les jeunes \u00e0 \u00e9laborer une installation qui serait dans un premier temps montr\u00e9e \u00e0 la biblioth\u00e8que de l\u2019\u00e9cole, puis laisser Mere Phantoms faire \u00e9voluer le tout en une exp\u00e9rience immersive <em>in situ<\/em> qui serait pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e \u00e0 la Galerie d\u2019art Foreman. \u00a0Mere Phantoms a mis la touche finale au montage en ajoutant \u00e7\u00e0 et l\u00e0 leurs propres cr\u00e9ations ainsi que des \u00e9l\u00e9ments qui traduisent leurs impressions nourries de leur exp\u00e9rience dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n<p>En r\u00e9sulte une installation compos\u00e9e de fins d\u00e9coupages papier en trois dimensions cr\u00e9\u00e9e par Mere Phantoms et les \u00e9l\u00e8ves, o\u00f9 d\u00e9filent environnements ruraux, urbains et fantaisistes, qui prennent vie gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des \u00e9clairages \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8res. Les artistes Maya Ersan et Jaimie Robson s\u2019inspirent des traditions du th\u00e9\u00e2tre d\u2019ombres, des d\u00e9buts du cin\u00e9ma et de l\u2019animation. Leur pratique se penche sur l\u2019interaction entre le spectacle et l\u2019exp\u00e9rience.\u00a0 Leurs installations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es au Canada ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019international, notamment lors des \u00e9v\u00e9nements One Architecture Week de Plovdiv (Bulgarie, 2015) et Unesco City of Design: Montreal Meets Graz (Autriche, 2015), de m\u00eame qu\u2019au Brandts Museum (Danemark, 2014), \u00e0 la Biennale d\u2019Istanbul (Turquie, 2013), au Real to Reel Film Festival de Vancouver (2013) ainsi qu\u2019au Mus\u00e9e McCord, \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, pendant la Nuit blanche (2013).
