Dans l\u2019arri\u00e8re-pays de Nicolas<\/em> est l\u2019une des rares expositions d\u2019art actuel qui s\u2019adresse aux enfants. Bien que sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7ue pour les jeunes de 7 \u00e0 10 ans, cette exposition \u00e9merveille jeunes et moins jeunes, les invitant \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir l\u2019univers onirique de Nicolas, un jeune gar\u00e7on habitant le village fictif de Saint-Barreau-les-Ber\u00e7antes.<\/p>\n

Accompagn\u00e9s de leurs parents ou de leurs grands-parents, les enfants peuvent admirer dessins, sculptures, vid\u00e9os et installations tout en ponctuant leur parcours d\u2019arr\u00eats dans des aires interactives. Ludique et dynamique, la visite de l\u2019exposition suscite une r\u00e9flexion sur les questions g\u00e9ographique, historique, patrimoniale et sociale.<\/p>\n

Cette exposition en art contemporain jeunesse est produite et mise en circulation par le Mus\u00e9e r\u00e9gional de Rimouski. Depuis plus de dix ans, son travail artistique se d\u00e9veloppe essentiellement autour de la sculpture et du dessin. En 2006, il terminait une ma\u00eetrise en arts visuels \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Laval portant sur la notion de distance dans la sculpture, m\u00e9moire pour lequel il a remport\u00e9 la m\u00e9daille d\u2019or de la Gouverneure g\u00e9n\u00e9rale du Canada. Depuis quelques ann\u00e9es, il r\u00e9alise \u00e9galement des \u0153uvres d\u2019art publiques dans le cadre du programme d\u2019int\u00e9gration des arts \u00e0 l\u2019architecture.
