Dans le cadre de sa r\u00e9sidence 2022\u201323, l\u2019ArtLab accueille Bill Burns, dont les recherches s\u2019\u00e9tendent tout au long de l\u2019ann\u00e9e pour culminer vers une exposition pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e \u00e0 la Galerie d\u2019art Foreman en septembre 2023.<\/p>\n

Le projet Le lait, les ch\u00e8vres, la costumi\u00e8re, les abeilles, le miel, la fanfare<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>a pour but de cr\u00e9er et de trouver des m\u00e9thodes d\u2019\u00e9change et d\u2019engagement entre les gens et d\u2019autres gens, entre les gens et les animaux, entre les gens et les choses. Bill Burns compte faire la rencontre des fermiers, des musiciens, des apiculteurs, des artistes, des \u00e9tudiants et des animaux d\u2019\u00e9levage de la communaut\u00e9. Il veut conna\u00eetre le fonctionnement des choses et les rapports entre les gens et les animaux d\u2019ici. Il esp\u00e8re r\u00e9v\u00e9ler la po\u00e9tique et la joie que rec\u00e8lent ces relations ordinaires. Pour Bill, cela fait partie d\u2019une performance de longue haleine mettant en jeu nos relations avec les autres esp\u00e8ces, le commerce mondial et la production alimentaire.<\/p>\n

Selon Bill Burns, nous nous rapprochons et nous nous s\u00e9parons sans cesse. \u00c0 son avis, la m\u00eame chose peut \u00eatre dite de notre vie sociale et \u00e9conomique, ainsi que de nos relations avec les autres esp\u00e8ces. En plus de rencontrer des gens et des animaux de la communaut\u00e9 durant sa r\u00e9sidence, Bill fait des dessins et des photos qui anticipent des performances et \u00e9v\u00e9nements \u00e0 venir. Il pr\u00e9sente \u00e9galement une performance qui reconstitue des \u00e9v\u00e9nements ant\u00e9rieurs ou le flux entre eux. Cela comprend des chansons, la traite de ch\u00e8vres et l\u2019extraction de miel.<\/p>\n

Bill Burns<\/strong> est issu d\u2019une famille de vendeurs de livres de la Saskatchewan. C\u2019est aupr\u00e8s des moines, po<\/span>\u00e8te<\/span>s et fermiers de cette province qu\u2019il a d\u00e9couvert l\u2019art, les livres et les tracteurs. Il est le fondateur et le directeur artistique du Big Pond Small Fish Laboratory de Toronto, une plateforme d\u2019art, de collaboration et de recherche compos\u00e9e de gens souvent exclus de la production et des expositions artistiques.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
